Black History Month is such a rich time of learning at Foundations. At a young age our students learn about past and present influences in African American History. Majority of the beginning of the year is spent exposing our students to leaders that they may recognize in sports, politics, and televison. Our preschoolers and teachers put on a an amazing program at the end of the month that truly displayed history's past and future.

February 28 was a very special day! We celebrated being one of the select preschool programs in Alabama as we were recognized for receiving a 4 STAR rating. The Quality Rating System and Improvement System provides a system to evaluate a program through age appropriate guidelines and expected outcomes. Foundations received the 4 Star rating in May of 2022. We are now working to reach the 5 Star Level as we continue to trust the Lord, along with our staff that uses the best practices for preschool children each day. 

We recognize that ages birth to five as a critical time frame for child brain development. Our mission is to give each child the very best opportunity and teaching to help develop their full potential and they learn to love the Lord our God and live to bring Him glory! We are truly grateful for opportunities like this one that showcase what the Lord is doing in Fairfield.
